Video analytics for business, from Moldova

Video analytics on the CCTV cameras you already have. Hourly figures, at every location.

Video analytics is software that reads the image from your surveillance cameras and turns it into figures: how many people came in, how many bought against the till receipts, how long they waited at the checkout and where they walked. Vizor does this on your existing cameras, with no new devices, and sends a report every day.

Video analytics and video surveillance

Surveillance keeps the footage. Video analytics counts it.

A surveillance camera keeps the footage so you can watch it after an incident. Video analytics works all the time: it reads the same image and draws figures from it, by the hour, without anyone watching a screen. The camera stays the same; the software is added.

Which cameras it works on

On the IP cameras you have, of any brand.

We need a camera that sees the entrance and, for conversion, the checkout area. Most of the time the existing cameras are enough. Where they aren’t, one or two ordinary cameras are added. We first look at an image from your camera and tell you honestly whether it will work.

Step 1

One image from the camera

You send us a frame from the entrance camera. Within 24 hours we reply in writing with what can be measured on it.

Step 2

One day of installation

Without closing the location. The first report arrives on the evening of the installation.

Step 3

Checked figures

In the first weeks we count manually in parallel, at hours you choose, and put the two figures side by side.

How accurate it is

How accurate is video analytics? We measure it at your location.

It depends on the camera’s angle and quality, which is why we don’t quote a brochure figure. In our pilot in two pharmacies, the average error was 1.5% per day in people counting and 1.7% against receipts.

In Moldova

We work across Moldova, in Romanian and Russian.

Installation takes one day on site; after that, everything is done remotely. We take the receipts from the till or from 1C. Reports come in Romanian or Russian, as each person on the team prefers. Processing the images falls under Moldova’s Law No. 195/2024 on personal data protection.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about video analytics.

What is video analytics?

Software that reads the image from surveillance cameras and turns it into data: how many people passed, where, how long they stayed, what happened at a given hour. It is also called video analysis or CCTV analytics. Unlike a recording, it doesn’t need anyone to watch the footage.

What can video analytics do for a shop?

It counts visitors by the hour and puts them next to the receipts, which gives the real conversion rate. It shows the checkout queue, the zones customers skip and the moments when an item leaves without passing the till. For pharmacies it shows how many leave without a receipt; for warehouses, the loading docks and aisles.

Do I need new cameras for video analytics?

Usually not. Vizor works on your existing IP cameras of any brand, as long as they see the entrance and the checkout area. Where coverage falls short, one or two ordinary cameras are added. We first look at an image from your camera.

Is AI video analytics the same thing?

Yes, in the usual sense of the words: the models that recognise people in the image are artificial intelligence models. The practical difference is what you get in the end: a clip analysed once, or hourly figures every day from all your locations.

How much does video analytics cost?

It depends on how many locations you have and what needs measuring. You pay a monthly subscription per location, with no hardware to buy. We start by looking at the cameras in one location and write to you what can be measured there.

How accurate is video analytics?

It depends on the camera’s angle and quality. In our pilot in two pharmacies, the average error was 1.5% per day in people counting and 1.7% against receipts. At your location we check it with a manual count, before any decision.

Is video analytics legal in the Republic of Moldova?

Yes, under the conditions of Law No. 195/2024: a written purpose, a legal basis, informing people with a sign and a retention period for the footage. Camera images are personal data; the aggregate figures drawn from them, from which no one can be identified, are not. The details are on the page about Law 195/2024.

How long does it take to install video analytics?

One day per location, without stopping the business. The first report arrives on the evening of the installation, and the figures are checked with manual counts in the first weeks.
