Vizor for warehouses and logistics centers

You know how much stock you have. You don’t know how much space and time you lose.

A warehouse has no receipts, just docks, aisles and hours. Using your existing cameras, we measure how long trucks stay at the loading dock, where internal traffic gets congested and which zones you pay for sit unused. No new hardware. Facial recognition for the employees you register, after informing them; everyone else stays a silhouette.

What Vizor sees in a warehouse

Your inventory system knows what you have. It doesn’t know how it moves.

A WMS tells you what stock there is and where it’s recorded. It doesn’t tell you that dock 2 is blocked for half the shift, that an aisle gets congested at 11:00, or that a whole row of racks hasn’t been visited in a week. That only shows up on camera.

dock 2 · occupied 71% · dock 4 free
Dock occupancy

How long trucks stay, and at which dock.

Occupancy of each dock by hour and by day. The problem usually isn’t the number of docks but how they’re scheduled: two are swamped, two sit empty.

0
Traffic and congestion

Where traffic flows and where it gets stuck.

Movements along the main aisles, by hour. An aisle blocked by pallets at peak hour costs minutes on every order, every day.

Used zones and dead zones

Which square meters you pay for go unused.

An activity map of the whole floor. Zones with no movement for a week are either dead stock or stock in the wrong place. Both cost rent.

What we don’t doWe measure the warehouse and, for registered employees, the people in it.

In a warehouse, the first question we get is whether the system can show how much each person works. The answer is yes, for the employees you register: hours, zones, presence time. Registration is done by you, after informing the person in advance and with the documented legal basis the law requires — we supply the tool and the documentation, and responsibility as the data controller stays with you. People who aren’t registered remain counted silhouettes.

On the phone

The same numbers, with the shift supervisor.

In a warehouse, the useful decision is immediate: where to send the next truck, which aisle to clear. The app is built for that moment.

  • The alert shows up on the lock screen with the dock, the camera and the minute.
  • Dock occupancy and time at shipping, for the current shift.
  • The shift report takes a minute to read, at handover.
  • The day’s numbers reach your phone, without customer names.
Reports for warehouses

This is the report that arrives at shift handover.

Not presentation charts: the document the shift supervisor receives, with dock occupancy, aisle blockages and idle zones. Figures by zone and by hour, and also per person for registered employees.

Three recommendations

  • 1South facility: dock 2 handles four times as many trucks as dock 4. Redistributing slots costs nothing.
  • 2Average time at the dock exceeds the internal threshold in two facilities out of three, always between 10:00 and 12:00.
  • 314% of the total floor area sees no movement in a week. Rearrange stock before any discussion of new space.

Three scenarios, three decisions.

Our first real installations, in production, are in pharmacies in Moldova. We don’t have a warehouse client yet, and the metrics are different: not customers and receipts, but docks, aisles and square meters. The scenarios below show how to read the data, not what anyone has achieved.

⚠ Modeled scenariosThese are not results reported by clients. We measure your numbers in the pilot.
Modeled scenarioDistribution center · 4 docks

Two docks swamped, two almost empty.

Problem
Trucks were waiting to unload, and drivers were complaining about delays. The conclusion from meetings: “we need another dock.”
What it showed
Dock 2 was occupied 71% of the shift, dock 4 only 12%. Scheduling was sending almost all traffic to the same side of the building.
Decision
Slots rescheduled across all four docks based on actual occupancy. Zero investment, no new dock.
−34%average wait to unload, within three weeks
dock occupancy · per shift%
Modeled scenarioRetail warehouse · 6,000 m²

A main aisle blocked, every morning.

Problem
Morning orders were consistently going out late, with no clear cause in the inventory system.
What it showed
Aisle A was blocked by replenishment pallets between 10:00 and 12:00, for 14 minutes a day on average. Traffic detoured via the far end of the building.
Decision
Replenishment moved to before 8:00, and a buffer zone marked out next to receiving.
−11 minaverage daily blockage, measured before and after
movements in aisle A · by hourblockages
Modeled scenarioIn-house warehouse · monthly rent

18% of the floor area went untouched for a whole week.

Problem
There was talk of renting an additional building, because “we’re out of space.”
What it showed
The seven-day activity map: three zones, 18% of the floor area, with zero movement. Very slow-moving stock, sitting in the most accessible corner.
Decision
Stock rearranged by turnover, dead zones freed up for fast-moving goods. Talk of a new building put on hold.
18%of floor area, recovered without extra rent

Our reference installation

Our first location measured daily, with a parallel manual count and an automatic report every evening. The measurement method is the same; in a warehouse, only what we count changes.

How it works in a warehouse

One day per facility. Without stopping operations.

01

Your current cameras

Docks and main aisles are usually already covered. For blind spots, we add one or two standard cameras.

zero investment
02

Docks and zones, mapped out together

We mark the docks, the main aisles, the picking area and the shipping area. Fixed stations are excluded from the count.

one day
03

Figures by zone

Images are processed on the Vizor server; the report gets figures by dock, aisle and hour. No assessment of individuals.

data minimization
04

Link to your WMS, optional

If you want, dock occupancy is compared with the schedule in your system, which reveals the real delays.

optional
Privacy in the warehouse

We measure the warehouse, not the people in it.

The system tracks silhouettes from frame to frame and produces figures by zone, dock and hour. For registered employees, it links paths to their names and can produce per-person reports. For anyone else in the frame, no identity and no profile is built.

Pilot for warehouses

One facility. Three months. Numbers checked together.

For warehouses, we start with a single facility, not three: every warehouse has its own layout, its own flow and its own docks. In week three, we check dock occupancy manually, during hours you choose. You can stop the pilot at any time, with no penalty.

We don’t ask for it, because we don’t do that. We measure zones, docks and hours.

Calculator · what time saved at the dock is worth

The calculation takes the minutes saved at unloading and converts them into hours of waiting avoided. A mathematical estimate, not a promise: we measure your figures in the pilot.

Calculation: trucks × days × minutes saved ÷ 60 × cost per hour × facilities.

Frequently asked questions

Questions from warehouses.

Can you show how much each employee works?

Yes, for the employees you register in the system: hours, zones, presence time. Registration is done by you, after informing the person in advance. Without registration, Vizor produces figures by zone, dock and hour. An employee’s consent is not a valid legal basis, because the employee is a subordinate: the legal basis rests on legitimate interest or on the occupational safety obligation, is documented, and comes with a data protection impact assessment and notice to every employee.

What do you measure in a warehouse if there are no receipts?

Dock occupancy and dwell time, traffic and blockages in the main aisles, activity by zone and floor area with no movement. In other words, time and space: the two things that cost money in a warehouse.

Does it connect to a WMS?

Optionally, and only after the traffic figures are validated. Then we compare actual dock occupancy with the schedule in your system, and the real delays become visible.

Do you detect forklifts, not just people?

Aisle traffic includes moving equipment too. For blockages, that matters more than the difference between a person and a forklift.

Are new cameras needed?

Usually the docks and main aisles are already covered. For blind spots, we add one or two standard cameras after looking at the floor plan.

Does installation stop operations?

No. It takes one day and doesn’t interrupt receiving or shipping. We mark the docks and zones together with you.

How do you show that 18% of the floor area is unused?

With the seven-day activity map: zones with zero movement, with the area of each in square meters. It’s a concrete argument before renting extra space.

How do we start?

With a three-month paid pilot in a single facility. Every warehouse has its own layout and flow, so we start with one and expand based on the results.
