Vizor for finishing materials and furniture showrooms

In a showroom, the sale begins when the consultant comes over.

Using the cameras you already have, we count how many customers come in, how many are greeted by a sales consultant and how long they wait before that. We show you which zones draw people in and at what hours customers go ungreeted. No new hardware. We only recognize the employees you register; customers remain silhouettes, with no name and no profile.

What Vizor sees in a showroom

A customer nobody greets leaves no trace.

In a showroom, people don’t buy off the shelf. If nobody gets to a customer in the first few minutes, they leave and don’t show up anywhere: not in a quote, not in the CRM, not in the sales report. Vizor counts them.

0
Walk-ins vs. greeted

How many come in, how many get to talk to someone.

By hour and by day, with consultants separated from customers. The gap between traffic and quotes starts here, not in the CRM.

3 customers on the floor · no consultant available
Time to greet

How long a customer waits before anyone speaks to them.

Above the threshold, the floor manager gets an alert. In a showroom, four minutes of waiting means a customer who walks out to “think it over.”

Attention by zone and collection

What people look at, and what they walk past.

Visit rate and time spent in each zone. A collection that doesn’t sell may be one displayed at the far end, where nobody walks.

On the phone

The same numbers, with the floor manager.

In a showroom, the decision is made in the next minute: who goes to the customer in zone C. The app is made for that minute.

  • The alert reaches the lock screen, with the location, zone and minute.
  • Walk-ins, greeted customers and waiting time for the current day.
  • The evening report takes a minute to read, at closing.
  • The day’s numbers reach your phone, without customer names.
Showroom reports

This is the report that arrives every evening.

Not presentation charts: the document the floor manager gets at closing, with the day’s numbers, the zones and two masked frames. The numbers here are illustrative.

Three recommendations

  • 1Ciocana: same traffic as Bălți, with a greeting rate 7 points lower. Rebuild the shift schedule around actual weekend traffic.
  • 2In every showroom, on Saturdays between 11 and 15, the greeting rate drops below 50%. That’s when most customers are lost.
  • 3Centru: greeting rate up 3 points after the consultants were repositioned. The decision can be replicated in the other three.

Three scenarios, three decisions.

Our first real installations, in production, are in pharmacies in Moldova. We don’t yet have a publicly named showroom client, so the scenarios below are modeled on the patterns measured there and on the retail analytics literature.

⚠ Modeled scenariosThese are not results reported by clients. We measure your numbers in the pilot.
Modeled scenarioFinishing materials showroom · 2,400 m²

The consultants stood on the left. The customers were on the right.

Problem
Customers were leaving without talking to a consultant, and the sale depended entirely on the consultation.
What it showed
60% of customers’ time was spent in zone C. The consultants were at the entrance, in zone A, where people only passed through.
Decision
Consultants repositioned according to the attention map, differently by hour. No new hires.
−40%customers leaving ungreeted, after three weeks
attention by zone · time spentA – F
Modeled scenarioFurniture showroom · weekend

Saturday brought the most people and the fewest quotes.

Problem
The number of quotes issued on Saturdays didn’t grow in line with traffic, even though the whole team was there.
What it showed
Between 11 and 14, there were 12 customers and 3 consultants on the floor. Time to greet climbed to 6 minutes, and 4 out of 10 customers left ungreeted.
Decision
Two consultants moved from the Tuesday shift to 11–15 on Saturdays. Same number of hours.
+6 ppweekend greeting rate, after four weeks
greeting rate by hour · before / after%
Modeled scenarioPremium collection · 180 m²

The expensive collection sat at the far end, where nobody walked.

Problem
The highest-margin collection was selling less than half of plan, and the supplier wanted an explanation.
What it showed
11 of 100 customers reached that zone. The main path bypassed the far end of the floor entirely.
Decision
Collection moved onto the main path, in place of a stock area. Effect measured before and after, over two weeks.

Our reference installation

The first location measured daily, with a parallel manual count and an automatic report every evening. The method is the same for a showroom; only the numbers differ.

How it works in a showroom

One day per location. Without closing the showroom.

01

Your current cameras

A large showroom already has cameras covering the entrance and the main aisles. For blind spots, we add one or two ordinary cameras.

zero investment
02

Zones, drawn together

We mark the collections, the display areas and the consultation point. Consultants are separated from customers by behavior and position.

one day
03

Numbers, not identities

Images are processed on the Vizor server; the report gets numbers. Customers are not identified.

data minimization
04

Linking to quotes

The number of quotes issued per hour is matched with greeted customers, which gives the real conversion rate.

greeting → quote
Privacy in the showroom

We measure the sales floor, not the consultants.

The system tracks silhouettes from frame to frame and produces numbers by zone and by hour. The consultants you register are recognized by face, so we can report their time by zone and the customers they greeted. No identity is built for customers. Images are processed on the Vizor server.

Showroom pilot

Three locations. Three months. Numbers checked together.

One large showroom, one medium-sized one and, if you have one, one in a shopping mall. In the third week we count manually in parallel, at hours you choose. You can stop the pilot at any time, with no penalty.

Staff evaluations

We measure the sales floor — where customers stand and how long they wait — and, for registered consultants, their time by zone.

Calculator · what a higher greeting rate is worth

In a showroom, a single extra percentage point means a few orders a month, but each of high value. Here we calculate conservatively, with the figure you choose. A mathematical estimate, not a promise.

per year4,536,000 MDL

Frequently asked questions

Questions from showrooms.

How do you know a customer has been greeted?

By behavior: a consultant approaches and the two stay together for a minimum time, which we set with you. We identify neither the customer nor the consultant; all that counts is that the greeting took place.

Do you measure consultants’ performance?

We can, if you register the consultants in the system: they are recognized by face, and we can report their time by zone and the customers they greeted. Without registration, we measure only the sales floor: how many customers were greeted, how long they waited, and in which zones.

Does a large showroom need a lot of cameras?

Usually fewer than you think. Your existing cameras are enough for the entrance and the main aisles. We cover blind spots with one or two ordinary cameras, after looking at the floor plan.

What does “attention by zone” mean?

Of 100 customers who come in, how many reach that zone and how long they stay there. It answers the question of whether a collection isn’t in demand or simply isn’t being seen.

Does it connect to the CRM or to issued quotes?

Optional. If you give us the number of quotes per hour, we calculate the real conversion rate from greeted customer to quote. Without it, we measure everything on the sales floor.

How long does installation take?

One day per location, without closing the showroom. We draw the zones and collections together, in an hour.

Does it use facial recognition?

Yes, for the consultants you register. Customers are not registered and remain silhouettes. Camera images are processed on the Vizor server.

How do we start?

With a three-month paid pilot at three locations, which you can stop at any time, with no penalty.
